Mr. Lutz Lungwitz (Berlin/Germany), has been President of the German Medical Wellness Association (www.dmwv.de), since 2004. He is also involved in leading positions in international organizations, like vice president of the Global Healtcare Travel Council.
After high school graduation, training as a travel agent and fully studying business administration in Berlin, Lungwitz has worked for many years as CEO, manager and consultant in the private sector and for federal organizations in Germany and abroad. A very long-term fieldwork of Lungwitz, is developing and managing (health) hotels, health tourism, clinics, and elder houses.
He is also deeply involved in developing worldwide health tourism concepts, services and destination marketing.
German Medical Wellness Association:
The German Medical Wellness Association (GMWA), formerly the Deutscher Medical Wellness Verband e.V. (DMWV), was founded in April 2004 and headquartered in Berlin. It*s the umbrella organization for Medical Wellness and all related fields, like the development of health tourism and necessary comprehensive concepts. It operates although in tourism and health tourism, as a developer, as tour operator and facilitator. With its network and management company, it possesses extensive knowledge of developing and operating such establishments as hotels, resorts, clinics, day spa facilities and elder care houses.
The work areas of the GMWA include developing and promoting of health tourism, spa & thermal tourism and managing of (health) hotels, rehabilitation centers, and modern, senior-friendly facilities. The GMWA is active both nationally and internationally.
